Davinia qualified from the University of Derby with a degree in Creative Expressive Therapies before continuing to develop her career and qualifying as a therapist with an MA in Music Therapy.

She has experience working with children, adults, and young adults in the areas of trauma, learning disabilities and profound and learning disabilities, autism, and anxiety. Her clinical judgement is based on a variety of theoretical stances such as person-centred approach, psychodynamic approaches, and humanistic approaches. She defines her therapeutic approach as eclectic and her main area of interest is that of developmental trauma.

About Davinia's Sessions

In her sessions, Davinia uses different musical and creative techniques to work through the relational, emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties clients might be facing. Some of these include creative songwriting, active music making (through clinical improvisation), singing, listening to music, use of stories, and creative art making.
